Un año.

Today October 6th. First of all, can you believe that it's already October? {I know people always say this, but seriously time flies.}
ALSO, that means that it has been one whole year of blogging! It's a my first blogaversary!
I can't believe that a year ago I was just coming home from the Dominican Republic. And I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted do or be or where I wanted to live. I was just a little lost.
In that DR post I explained that I created this blog to "find myself."  I look back at some of my very first posts and I kind of just laugh because: 
1) I think I sound silly 2) Is it really possible to find yourself?
I think yourself kind of finds you. It's not something that you can look for. It just happens. 
Back when I started the blog I was trying to find something that comes naturally. This past year I have changed a lot. Not because I found what I was looking for, but because I realized that I can't make it happen. 
I might not be doing what I thought I would be or living where I thought I would be, but I am very content. I have gotten through a lot the last couple of years that I thought would break me.  It didn't. And I love where I am. I am extremely blessed.
With that said I never would have thought that I would still be blogging. Instead of being something to help me "find myself." {Honestly, I can't say it with out laughing at how silly I was.}
The blog has turned into more of a lifestyle blog to document my adventures and more importantly to showcase the wonderful city I live in.
I hope that you have enjoyed spending time here with me.  I thank you all so much for wanting to bop in and see what I've gotten into. Thank you.
