Hullo! I hope the week is treating you well!
Tonight I sifted through all of my photos from Florida and holy cow I have a ton!
And there are so many that I want to show you...get prepared!
This is what my flight to FL looked like.
Blog Inc. book by Joy from Oh Joy!
I always have ginger ale on the plane to avoid having a tummy ache.
And I make sure to travel with Clif Bars just-in-case. ;)
This is one of B's pups, Marty.
He and I have a love-hate relationship.
This is the love side I guess.
Tiniest pineapple ever.
This was probably the only healthy thing I ate on the trip.
Because most of the time we were eating things like this.
The Irish Breakfast Burger from Meg O'Malleys.
A grilled burger piled with melted Dubliner cheese, rashers (bacon), bangers (sausage), tomato, and caramelized onion piled on a potato bun. Oh I know! Delicious!
Tromping on the bridge.
This is B's parent's beautiful yard.
It is complete with it's very own ecosystem.
Yup! That's self-supporting!
Takin' the Mercedes for an afternoon drive.
Pretty lady!
Do you like my new sandals?
From Target, but currently unavailable...surry!
On our last night staying in Melbourne Beach we went to a small Italian market.
The market reminds me so much of the ones in NYC.
Funfact: There are so many New Yorkers in FL that many of them have dual residency.
THIS was the sole reason we went to the market...
Look at the size of that baby!
On the last morning in Melbourne I introduced the group to Beermosas.
Mimosas with beer. ;)
Start with two thirds of a glass of light beer and top with orange juice.
YUM!
Don't knock it 'til you try it!
After beermosas and kayaking we went to Sand on the Beach for lunch.
So concentrated...
on B's storytelling.
Lime Margarita on the rocks.
Caprese panini.
On the way back we took a final dip at Melbourne Beach.
Some of the kids found sand fleas.
Did you know these existed?? They make me squirm!
On the last night we had a little bonfire on the beach complete with beer, S'Mores, S'MOreos, and Reese's S'Moreos.
What a great way to end the vacation.
Whew! Sorry that was such a long story, but I'm happy we could chat about the rest of my trip!
Have a great Wednesday!
I felt like I was on vacation just looking at your pictures! looks like an amazingly relaxing time.
ReplyDeleteOh thank you! Glad you could join ;)
Deletethese pictures look like so much fun! wish i was in florida on the beach =) how is that blog inc book? did you find it helpful?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yes, it was a great time!
DeleteI love the Blog Inc. book! It's really helpful and gives a lot of useful information about how to better your site and work for the readers and to share stories with them.
It is, however, a lot to get started and fix up when you're working full-time besides working on the blog. I would definitely suggest it though!
Thanks for stopping by!
I'm so jealous! It's so cold here in London, even though Spring is meant to be here :( Looks fab there!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have stayed there forever!
DeleteLondon?! I'd love to visit the city someday!
Thanks for stopping by!
Did you finish reading Blog,Inc? I would love to know what your thoughts on it are! Great vacation pics!
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you!
DeleteI DID finish reading it! I skipped over a few sections about blogging for profit because I'm not sure that is for me yet. I absolutely LOVED the rest of it, though.
There is a lot of information and she gives you great tools to better your blog for yourself and more importantly for the readers. There are also little interviews with successful bloggers. I highly recommend reading it!
Let me know what you think of it if you read it. :)
Please, stop by again!
Also, if you have a blog I would be interested in visiting!
DeleteCheers!
