Hot Drinks, Popcorn, PROST!

After we finished at Hotel Foster on Friday we skipped across the street to Von Trier.

I had actually never been there before, but I had been hearing that it is as close to a traditional German Tavern as you can get on that side of town.

As soon as you sit down an extremely friendly server will bop by and bring you a basket of popcorn. 

Well may I?!

 The server left us for a few minutes to look over the drink menu. 
We didn't really get a chance to look at it right away because we were having too much fun eating the popcorn.

Nom nom nom!

When we finally calmed down a little we took a gander at the menu.

I had heard that they had a great selection of beer...obvs since it is a German Tavern, but I had not heard anything about the crazy selection of fabulous hot drinks, spiked, of course. 

They were calling our names.

Jennifer's Hot Buttered Rum.

Dark rum with butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and lemon.

Brittney's Hot Butterscotch.

Butterscotch Schnapps, hot cocoa, and whipped cream.

And my Almond Joy.

Amaretto, Malibu, hot cocoa, and whipped cream

It was the best. Shhhh.

Pretty girl! Very happy with her choice.

Slurpin' away. All we needed was a roaring fire!

We played and gabbed for an hour or two until we had finished our drinks and couldn't eat any more popcorn.
