Óscar Tomás

It's been pretty busy around here lately! Pretty much just life in general. With this new little nephew in the family there isn't much to complain about.

Hopefully with the good weather here in MKE will come many more words and photos to share. Everything happening the last six months or so are saved with me for now.

Missing you all! (insert all the emoji kissy faces here)

Foods and Siblings

When I asked Anthony what he wanted for his birthday he said "can we just go to breakfast?"
Because my brother is the sweetest. :)

Warm corn muffins, Eggs benny, breakfast burritos, chocolate caramel pretzel cupcakes, and buttermilk pie.

And that's how I spend my Saturday morning. {insert all heart-eyed emojis here}

Story Hill BKC

Today we had a cold day from school. It's been a bit too cold for the kiddos to walk so the big guys called us off. You can add that to the winter happenings of the Big Bad Cold North.

After using my morning to visit the doc (turns out I have bronchitis) my cousin and I headed over to Story Hill BKC for breakfast. It was the best idea. Story Hill is from the same owners as Maxie's and Blue's Egg so with that said these owners know what they're doing. There is a lot of hype for this new rustic breakfast joint and there is usually quite the wait on the weekends so today was the perfect day to go.

Delicious food and a perfect rustic and open atmosphere.

Hey! Long time no see. Hope you all are well!

Anthro Fashion Show | 2014

It's that time of year again, folks. The cold is knocking, the flurries flying, all the ladies bundled in fancy coats and scarves, (wearing heels obviously) and Anthro's winter collection is here!! (Cue all the confetti explosion emojis)
And that also means Anthropologie's Winter Fashion show; Renée and I go every year.

Obviously I took this night to whip out these fancy ladies for the first time this season.
(If you've been around for a while you might remember them from this very errr amateur post from the beginning of c/oMKE.)
Shoes | Aldo (old)

Cheeky Né photobombing the trees ^^^^

Anthro does a fantastic job of clearing off the floor of the store itself to add chairs for all of the ladies. The whole store is turned into a gorgeous winter wonderland. You watch beautiful outfits as you sit in a field of trees like these. ^^

The cool thing about these fashion shows is that Anthro will send out emails to see if anyone would be interested in modeling. These gorgeous ladies aren't models; they are every day women and dedicated Anthro fanshionistas :)

Ummmm and can we just talk about this tulle skirt for a second???? Gimme.

I'm wearing: wedges - Aldo (similar) | Skirt - Anthropologie (similar) | Denim Moto Jacket - American Eagle (similar)

Renée is wearing: Sweater - Target | Shirt - JCrew | Jacket - Target | Scarf - Anthropologie

We drooled and gawked ooohhhh'd and aaaahhhh'd over all the new pieces coming out this year, all of which we are waiting to go on sale (sorry, Anthro, but sometimes yous just a little to pricey.)
Then Né and I had walked around with champagne and Perrier (cause my sis is expecting!!!! Boom. *drops mic*) mesmerized by the beautiful decorations and lovely clothing.

Also, if you stop into Anthro this season, please check out the cutest ornaments known to man. And then, Buy. Me. All. Of. Them.

If there is an Anthro in your area, make sure you sign up to be an Anthro member. You will get emails for first dibs and new arrivals, the birthday discount, and events including birthday ones like this.

Eeeeeeppp! Guys, I'm so excited for the holidays. AND the snow is heerrreee!!!

On Sundays...Downtown Books and an update

Hey! So news lately! I found a really awesome bookstore with my friend Bryan a couple weeks ago. By a couple of weeks ago, I really mean a couple months ago, but, you know...
Seriously rows and rows of any book you could imagine. The gentlemen who work there know exactly what they have at all times. I was looking for some classics that I read in highschool. I asked the rather helpful man behind the counter for Fahrenheit 451 and when I turned around the other gentleman was handing the last copy out to me. Uhhhh talk about the coolest guys ever. And THE SMELL. Guys, the smell. I love that smell of old books and this place is just one big shop of stories and the old book smell. You can find them here.

I ended up buying four books for around $15 so uhh love it.
Let's be real though, I'm rereading Harry Potter and I'm just starting book two soooo it might be a while until I can dig into the ones I bought.

In other news, I joined Match.com so that will be fun! Three months. I'll give it three months.
Wish me luck AND so many awesome first date stories!

Miss you, love you, and the like. :)

Tenutas | Bayview, Wisconsin

Well Hiy!! I feel like it has been a while since I've seen...er...written (?) to all of you! Things are still really crazy around these parts. With moving and weddings and trips and all around great summer activities, I just haven't found all that much time to catch  you up or to share good 'ol MKE posts. Slowly, but surely I will get back to regular blogging, it may be sporadic and at weird hours, but I will, I will!

In the mean time, I found some photos from a little date with Morgan from a really long time ago. I mean, before Cuba, long ago. So, I know this little date and photos aren't much, but I cherish these times I have with M. She has become such a close friend and rock to me and sadly (but also excitedly(!!!)) she will be leaving soon to move back to California to start work with her dream job. Girls gonna be working with horses, which is awesome! She is just so so excited so cheers to her!

Anyways, I thought I would share this place because 1) great company and b) seriously guys, this food is amazing. I probably sound like I'm preaching old news about Tenuta's, but this was the first time I had been and I was blown away! If you don't already know then I. Am. Your. Savior.
You can thank me later. :)

First off the little restaurant is very quaint and intimate. It's the perfect place for a first or fifteenth date. There are small tables lined up with crisp white linens and even some tables outside for those comfortable summer days. The wait staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Our waiter helped pick out a wine for us (yes, lambrusco, yes it's bubbly and delicious and just a little bit sweet and I have no qualms.)
So when Morgan and I get together we don't stop talking. Like, ever. We just sipped our wine and devoured nibbled on the bread and chatted away. It took us forever to decide what we wanted to eat. But once we did...
That pizza! The photos don't do it justice, believe me. We ordered a large virgin meat lover's pizza. We both only ate a few slices because it was just so darn filling! Honestly, one of my favorite pizza's in the city.

So pretty much you should just go. Now.

Have you found any new haunts lately? Tell me ev-ry-thing.
