Every year my sister throws an Oscar Viewing Party. This year she kept it small with just siblings so Anthony and I dressed up all fancy and drove down on Sunday night. We started off our night with Guinness floats (rootbeer for A) and got the whirly pop twirling for snacks. We hunkered down with a whole slew of Oscar-themed foods to Ellen gallivant around and photos that literally shut down twitter. Renee made little scoring cards for us to make predictions before the show. Mine were completely off, but like I said, I don't know anything about the movies. Outfits, Ellen, Ellen was all I cared about with the Oscars. R, however, got 19 correct. 19. Her secret? She doesn't watch the movies just reads a lot of entertainment weekly.
ALSO we watched videos during commercials like this one. Have you seen this? Seriously if you know the divas--it's hysterical! Or this video of BBCs talking animals...Really though, why were we reminded of that one?
The night was so fun and we laughed probably the hardest we had in a long long time.

Aw, it's fun that you get all dressed up! :D I admit I didn't watch the Oscars as they were happening, but caught up on the news next day... most of those movies, as usual, I haven't seen (YET!)... P.S. I now want a root beer float something fierce.

OH girl, I feel like after every time you visit you crave some American food.
DeleteIs it bad that my husband and I caught up on Walking Dead Episodes instead of watching the Oscars? Very un-American and very pro zombie of us. Your sibling party looks like it was so much fun!
ReplyDeleteActually I don't blame you! I LOVE that show!
