If you've been following or reading this blog for a little while now you know that my New Year's resolution was to cutdown on my makeup and to go a little natural. Well I've had a few people* email me** what exactly I do for my makeup regiment now, so I thought I would share it on the blog.
I knew you were all so curious about it.
I don't totally go without makeup, but I go for a more natural look.
First I start with Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer and slather it all over my face and neck.
I am a huge fan of Benefit Cosmetics. I'm by no means an expert at cosmetics, but I've found that their products work best for my skin since it is very neutral (neither oily, nor dry. Combination?) The majority of my facial products are from them.
After moisturizing I use FakeUp underneath my eyes because I get some massive under-eye circles. I also apply Stay Don't Stray to my eyelids. I know that it's primer for eyeshadow, but since it is a little tinted it helps to even out the color of my eyelids. Then I use Pore Professional over my whole face to minimize pores. I swear by that stuff.
After the primer I apply Almay's Tinted CC Cream in 300 and I dab a bit of Erase Paste on any blemishes I might have at the time.
Then I dust my face in a little Hoola powder (which you can see is very mmmmm used..?)and apply High Beam under my eyebrows and Watts Up right above my cheekbones to brighten my complexion.
I finish up with a little Posie Tint and a swiping of BADgal Mascara. I love Posie because it is bright and feminine. And this mascara is great for opening your eyes without weighing it down like you are going for a night on the town.
If I'm feeling a little extra adventurous I will apply a bit of Revlon Colorburst Tinted Balm. It hydrates while also adding a great pop of color. Can you tell which one is my favorite??

And then I'm all ready for my day! It sounds like there are quite a few steps, but it really only takes about 5 minutes and I don't feel like I'm wearing a layer of makeup.
What do you do to get ready in the morning?
Also I started a Facebook page, finally!

I love Benefit, but I've never tried their erase paste. I'll have to soon!
