Dreary Beach Days

There is something to be said about walking on the beach with endless crashing waves. I mentioned in this post that the weather in Florida was not the greatest. We spent lots of time relaxing and lounging around, but we did end up moseying are way over to the beach a few times. I wanted to take my camera out for a spin, like ya do. Bethany was not to thrilled, but she's a trooper ya know...We tromped around on the beach snapping away and running from the massive waves. Let's just say that my pants were soaked.
I had been in a bit of a photography slump. I wanted to do something a little bit different. I had heard of "free-lensing" before, but was a bit nervy of attempting it. I was finally inspired to try it for myself after reading Gentri's post and seeing her beautiful photos. It takes a bit to get the hang of it, but I love the way they turned out--all over-exposure-y and such. The result was a bit different than hers, but I want to play around with it more to see what other affects I can muster.

What do you do when you get those dog-days of photography?

    1. Exactly! I love the way the beaches look like this. Reminds me of the Upper Northeast US.
